This makes numba three:
1971 Suzuki T350 Rebel
The pic does it too much justice. She's in dire need of a cleaning, inside and out, I'm sure. There are a couple deep scratches on the tank, and a nice ding. Thankfully, the metal didn't crease or anything. The oil tank covers' paint is a bit Sun-faded, so I assume it's been sitting outside for extended periods at some point or another. Also, the seat cushioning is a bit worn... Still, she runs strong, though she needs some convincing to kick over.
Maaaaan, as my first two-stroke, I have no idea why Harley folks laugh at 'em. I absolutely LOVE the way it sounds! Like an angry weed-whacker! Puts out some power, too, for a 315cc motor. 39 horses at 7.5k, and 29 ft. lb. of torque at 6.5k. Seems to beat the new CBR250R and Kawi Ninja 250. And it has six speeds!
It's gonna be SUCH a nice cafe...

I trying to go other way got 4 in the garage as we speak want to get back down to 1 bike as i find i just dont wana fix em anymore. I fix trucks for a living and repaired/modded motorcycles on the side for friends.
Three of the bikes in my garage are on the road The Seca is a cafe project i giving to my brother to finish (as i just dont have the time room or desire to complete it myself). I currently have a 2010 Honda CBF600SA, 2003 Kawasaki Vulcan 500, 2000 Yamaha V-Star 650, 1983 Yamaha Seca 750 (cafe project)
Hope you enjoy it its a TON of work to get old dilapitated bikes back on the road (Still wrenching alot on the Katana i fixed up for a friend). And for gods sake becareful with those breaks twin drums kinda hurt for stoppin power look beutiful though.

The stopping power is non-existent. Mechanical drums are just silly...
Fortunately, most of the work is cosmetic. The biggest issues to correct to make it a sturdy rider will be (that I can tell thus far) replacing the cables (it's got some clutch and throttle stick, and I'm praying it's just in the cables), and figuring out what to do with the brakes. It runs strong, though it's far from a one-kick. On the test ride, she was responsive through all six gears, though I didn't have a chance to really wind her out. All the electrics work, and she doesn't leak. Pretty good start, if I must say so. :)

Nice moped you got yourself there young man!
Seriously though, I'm just jealous. I want a bike sooooo bad, but the wife would probably kill me before the bike would.

Weeeeellllll, sometimes I feel I need a break from my 1300cc VTX or my 900cc Bonneville.
Truth be told, I got this one because my Bonnie is mah baby, and I can't bring myself to tear her up. The VTX is simply no fun to ride, so I'm probably going to sell it soon. This one is going to be my wrenching project. It'll be my first attempt, and T350's in of themselves are pretty much nonexistent in America, much less cafe T350's, so it'll be a unique, fun bike in the long run. Plus, don't scoff at a hopped up 315cc 2-stroke.

One of my hardcore Harley buddies has a little Honda 125 (or something) road bike that is the same model that he had as a kid. He loves riding that thing around his neighborhood all stoned out on dope smoke.

NADA value is $600 for "fair," and $1,300 for one in "good" condition. Given I fall in that range, let's just say I overpaid (though not too terribly much). Don't regret it, though.
To be honest, I went in blind when I got this one. I found a Craigslist ad for a '74 Honda CB360 (which is the less popular version of the CB350), and the seller wanted a bit much for it (I had done my research on the CB). The seller was an old motorcycle mechanic, and while he's now retired, he still has his shop (a converted gas station) and his collection. We were shooting the breeze and he was rolling out the various bikes he had to show my friend and I. Among them was this gold one, and I always caught myself checking it out. Coulda been the gold paint. :)
Anyway, I asked what he wanted to do with that one, of which he replied he'd like to sell it. Then he asked us if we wanted to ride it. The second we got it started up and that weed-whacker-two-stroke exhaust note hit me, I wanted it. Had no idea what it was worth, or what it would take to keep it running. I asked how much, threw him a counter offer, and threw it in the truck. :)
Even after looking it up, information is scarce on it. Sure NADA has a price, but I can't find actual B/S/T ads to compare it to. However, a dual-carbed, six-speed, 2-stroke 315cc motor? I can't imagine a better cafe racer...

As mentioned, it was from an old motorcycle mechanic. He had an impressively large collection (50?) of motorcycles in various states of repair or disrepair. Most of them running. I live in Houston, Texas, and this gentleman lived in San Antonio, about 3 hours away.

A guy at my apartment complex in Austin had a bike exactly like that. He always parked it in the crappiest spot in visitor parking and I never understood why. Always liked the look of it though, nice find!

Since we are talking two strokes....
Not my pic, but I have one sitting in a shed. I got it fo free when I was a freshman in HS, I got it working, then the condenser died again. I have no title, but for a few hundred bucks I could have it titled, insured, running, and stopping at around 100mpg.
Reason I dont is because "mopeds are like fat chicks: fun to ride, but you dont want to be seen riding one"
I want a cafe racer. One day when I have a real job or find someone giving away motorcycles.

Man deTrevni and ssok have some nice examples. If I had that Motomarina I'd be all over the city riding that thing to shag donuts and news papers.
deTrevni that bike is the drag bike of a guy I know. The last I knew it ran a low 10 even though he had to shut down early due to cooling problems which I'm sure that he's easily running in the 9's now. That motor was originally wedged into one of these which is what I drag race. This is my actual drag sled
