I recently purchased a new x7 phenom mechanical (about 2 weeks ago), and i also purchased a flatline barrel with it. I tested it out up at a local field. Well, the problems were as follows: I chopped a lot of paint, and the shots that didn't chop curved like crazy. The field I play at has high quality paint (I assume..), and i did fit it properly. The thing I didn't do was adjust the velocity when i put it on. Could that have been the culprit? Also, it was about 20 degrees that day (F). Could that have contributed to the problem as well?

Cold temps make for brittle paint. Thats one problem.

Speed is another. The flatline works best at 280fps.
