Since I started playing I wanted a way to capture what I see on the field. The action cams were OK, but if you shot someone further out than 50 feet, you just couldn't see them.
After working on my first person shooter paintball video skills for years, I am finally pleased with the following videos...
Game was at my private field on Saturday, 12.31.11. Helmet cam is the new Contour Roam (mounted to my visor between my eyes with duct tape to hold it down further than normal so you can see when I lay prone).
And my gun cam is a high end Sony SR series camera. I edit in 1080HD with 5.1 surround sound using Sony Vegas 10 platinum.
Watch it on youtube to see it in 1080HD widescreen. Game 1
Games 2 & 3
subscribe if you like it, and feedback is always appreciated.

That was a good one Cessman too bad they didn't get the upload right so the aspect ratio wasn't squished, as that was good footage.
Here is game 4, I shot out 8 guys, and then...
Is it better without music underneath?

Here is a little game we play at the end of the day after one of my events at Trails of Doom...
It is called Revolutionary War, and you can play this with only 2 people if you want.
ONE shot per round, then step forward, you can stand all the time, or if you want to crouch or lay down, then you have to take a different position between each round (kneel, lay down, then stand). I stand as I am old and don't feel like getting up and down!
I was convinced a few of these were hits... Course, I've been filming in HD long enough to know that what you THINK you see with your eyes, can be incorrect, once you see the footage zoomed in with a HD camera. Makes you think twice about yelling at that guy across the field that you hit them... You probably only THOUGHT you hit them and it curved at the last second and totally missed them!
Filmed with my custom ZoomCam mounted on my A-5.

Interesting. We play a little different. Both teams meet in the middle, turn away from each other and walk away 20 paces (approx 120'). Stand aligned 4 feet apart at the shoulder. You can fire one ball at a time every 10 seconds (must count out loud, 1 mississippi, 2 mississippi, etc) , and you must be standing and can't dodge the ball (take it like a man!). Fun game.

The only time I ever played a game like that we stood like 30 feet away from each other it was lol.
Playing all of the videos in this thread simultaneously is an audio riot.

I disagree . . . I don't play winter ball anymore.
Then again, I've gotten to the point agewise where injuries seem to take a lot longer to heal as well.

Wiping is just another way of saying "I suck at paintball."
Our field is so intolerant of wipers that we don't get a lot of that happening. What we did get a while back was some serious dead men talking.
I had done a low crawl up a very shallow depression and gotten between the two three-man squads the other team was broken into when the squad on my left moved up into pretty much a straight line for me to shoot at. I took the first two quickly and moved on the third who was farther out. As I'm closing in I hear a chorus of whistles and "heys" from the eliminated guys behind me. Fortunately for me, none of their team-mates were paying attention to anything other than the rest of my team in front of them. I took out the last guy from this group then circled around to eliminate the other three from behind. Afterwards, I reminded the other team in general that the dead don't talk.
For some reason, this seems to be the biggest problem our field has with rules violations. A few years ago the owners had to have a talk with a scenario team from out of town that would show up a few times per year. It turned out they would leave a player off the field on a hill overlooking it where he could observe and call in the movements of the other team on the radio. He got caught by a player coming off the field while he was calling in a flank attack that his team wouldn't otherwise have known about. Was this specifically prohibited? No it wasn't. However, as a non-player in the game who couldn't be eliminated (both because he was just off the field and also because of the lack of a mask-which was stupid given his position in relation to the field) this is the woodsball equivalent of a speedball coach calling out the other teams positions and I view it as just wrong.
Oh well enough ranting . . . except for . . . get off my lawn.

Here is some new footage from my field from this Saturday. It was around freezing when we started. And with the right O-rings, you can have fun. (silicone works best below freezing).
My remote coil was leaking like crazy (never did put silicone rings in it, guess it is time to do that...) so I had to run my tank on my marker.
Captured some AMAZING footage!
Scenario play.

Our 35th event was this past weekend. Here are the videos that I have finished so far.
This game we decided to bum rush the other side, so as soon as the horn sounds, I run (good thing it was downhill) over to the other teams camp.

I put together a "Tips & Tricks" video for anyone who plays paintball in the woods. It is full of different tactics, and ways to take out the other team, even if you are highly outnumbered and playing on your own.
I am using a Tippmann A-5 in factory Realtree camo, with a remote coil, and my MonsterSpin barrel system (a new style Flatline, with an Apex 2 tip on the end), and I am shooting 275fps using Marbalizer paint. This was filmed at a large scenario in West Chester Ohio this summer.
It is long, but a fun way to learn some tricks, as I film in a first person shooter perspective, so you can see what it happening.

Some of my latest videos...
I always wanted one of my videos featured on Contours facebook page... I finally achieved that goal and a few minutes after they posted my video... They went out of business...
DOH!
Well, at least I met my goal at the last possible second! And it will live on as the last video they posted on facebook.
Well, here it is anyway.
When I started my own backyard field, I had a TON of questions, and there were exactly ZERO videos that showed what you need and how to do it... So I made one.
I always tell new players that your boots are one of the most important things you buy for woodsball. Because you really don't have time to look at where you are going when you are getting shot at. Often, you fall down...
Can YOU spot the Sniper?...
And a local church field is doing a 24 hour scenario in a few weeks. I came up with a new way to film paintball that I call the BoomCam, and this video has tons of footage from it. (go go gadget arms!).
I am also dual wielding at the end of this one too. Using my A-5 on one side of the tree, and my Tipx on the other side, with my LEFT hand! Fun!

Silly.

Hey man, First of all I want to congratulate you on your videos and 2nt of all I would like to know ho you play woods ball but still manage to get good footage? Pigpoacher, I started with a ATC3K video camera (640 X 480) and you can do some decent things with them, some of my original videos have pretty big numbers of views now. The key is to edit out all the boring stuff. Make your edits less than 2 minutes long, if you can't see the other person getting shot, then it isn't good enough to put online... (That is what I do).
This video was featured by Tippmann Sports this weekend on their facebook page!!! Woot!
And here is a little commercial I made showing what my ZoomCam can do!

Yeah, it is a pretty amazing barrel! It always shocks players on the other team when I can hit them, and they can't hit me back! It curves paint so hard, that I rarely use the dive bomb as I can literally shoot behind bunkers with ease, and it just seems like cheating to me!!!
I've been really busy making new content, here are a bunch of my new videos.
It was a good holiday for paintball at Trails of Doom. Got to play with BOTH my daughters, and my oldest daughters boyfriend... Of course, I hunted him... Since the girls wanted to be on the other team to try and shoot their old man!
Here is game 1
Here is game 3, I shot him again. haha!
Here is our resident Assassin Henry getting TOASTED from behind! Young Nate has been improving drastically this winter, and he deserved this new moniker!
Someone flanked me and got right behind me and took out my teammate, so I.... Well watch it already!
And since we have gotten TONS of snow in the past week, I put out a few good snowgames at Trails of Doom, because playing in the snow is SO FUN! The silence of the woods, and the crack of the gunfire. Your adrenaline will be rushing as you try to capture the flag!
Henry and I were on the same team for this game.
And I switched teams and was going against Henry for this one, we both decided to guard our teams flags, while the rest of our players attacked... Some sniper action in this one, in fact one of the shots was featured on Wolf's top 5 kills videos! This one took a LONG time to edit, but I think it is a good one!
Enjoy!

My first action cam had buttons, and I missed a bunch of games, and told myself I would never use a helmet cam that had buttons again... The slide switch on the Contour fixes that issue, if it is forward it is on and recording video, if it is back it is powered off. Making it extremely simple to use.
I have LOTS of friend with Go pro's (all the way up to the newest 3 black edition). Yes, the newest has incredible resolution, but it has buttons, and with a helmet cam (where you are often wearing gloves) you will end up switching modes by accident, and then "filming" a single picture instead of video, or a group of three pictures instead of video... Or the battery will last a few games and die because the wifi drains it really fast!
I'm just not a fan of the Go Pro... Besides, it makes you look like Po the teletubbie when you have it mounted on the top of your visor in the center... haha!
