hello everyone, I have been playing woodsball paintball for a couple of years now. I just picked up some gear. A Tippmann X7 Mech. (the softer cyclone feeder thing) and a m16 style grip, with a 24oz Co2. I have about $200-250 for upgrades. I was looking at the X7 Phenom Barrel Carbon Fiber for like $130, i was also looking at a 68/4500 HPA for like $130 or X7 Flatline. The next thing i was looking at was the E-Grip. Im not sure which is the way to start upgrading my gun.

Thanks, Jordan

Welcome. I thought I read that the stock Phenom barrel is actually not that bad, much better than the stock 98 or A5. With that said, I would be hard pressed to recommend any single bore barrel for $130. You can typically buy a kit that will allow you to match the paint more closely. Flasc makes a nice set that has a tactical look to it. However, Lapco and J&J alsom make good one piece, affordable barrels. I HPA is readily available to you, I would recommend it pretty highly, especially for the Phenom and if you plan to up to an E-Grip. The. E-Grip is a nice upgrade as well. Get your accuracy and consistency (barrel/kit and hpa) right and then worry about ROF upgrades. You'e on the right track.
