So next month Im finally getting the boot from my parents cell phone plan. However, a few days ago I dropped my HTC Incredible and the screen is in pretty bad shape.  It still works flawlessly but its difficult to see.  I was thinking about getting the new Droid Razr but saw today something about the Droid Razr MAXX.  So do you think I should wait for the MAXX even though there is no release date or just go for the Droid Razr?

I also tossed around going back to the iPhone.  However I dont have any complaints against Android and I think the GPS on Android is amazing.

I'd say go with the one named MAXX. It sounds wicked cool.

which ever costs the least.  It seems like nickle and dime tactics that they are using to get people to upgrade to new smart phones now.

I see the next big thing in phones is somehow making a tablet and phone one unit.

I got a Droid X2, less than 3 weeks later the Droid Bionic came out and soon after the Droid Razr came out.

I love my X2, but I wish my parents werent in a hurry to re-up the plan. It was cheaper for me to stay on the family plan so I was pushed into the X2.

I love my phone, but I feel like no matter what phone you get, something newer and  better will be out a month later.

Play around with the phone and if you like it, get it.

Don't waste your money on a new phone if it works fine. Replacing the glass is easy and will only cost you $16 http://www.amazon.com/Incredible-Screen-Digitizer-Replacement-Adhesives/dp/B005TGX6X8/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1326960652&sr=8-4

It comes with all the tools to do it too.

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

This.

The benefit from this is that you won't need a new contract for your phone and you can pay month to month.

Blackberries have always been behind the times with their operating system, and speed...

But, seriously, look at the torch 9810 before you buy anything. This thing flies, and has 8 gigs of memory, and shoots 720HD video and has a 5 megapixel camera.

Decent pictures for sure, see.

Plus if you have wifi, this thing FLIES online, I can have 4 different sites open at the same time, and watch video from youtube WITHOUT it freezing up!...

This is not your typical blackberry.

I was done with them after my last one. I liked it, but the world has moved on, as Roland says.

Outdated OS, lack of a quality app store and limited app development, weak camera, etc.

Last month I got a Samsung Captivate Glide, and enjoy the upgrade thoroughly.

Probably the only thing I can think of that I actually miss is an in-text-box spell checker that would underline words for you. And that's only a problem when using the physical keyboard.

I would say that Blackberry Messenger will be missed, but I hadn't used it in months, as everyone I know has switched from Blackberry.

order of technological progression:

1)smoke signals

2)pager

3)blackberry

4)cell phone

Same, only thing that i didn't like was the lack of indication light for txts and calls. But the NoLed app solved that.

SII owner here too. I've had this phone for a few months now and there is only a minuscule amount of things I cannot do with it. Fast too, oh so fast.

Blackberry is relegated to businesses that run a BES server at this point, I'm afraid.

It's the underdog, but I am going to go out and say it. I own a Samsung Focus, running Windows Phone 7.5. It is the best mobile OS on the market right now. The UI is smart and innovative, and the OS is well written and doesn't suffer the fragmentation issues of Android.
