The NCAA baseball post-season has started. Gainesville got a regional host spot this year. Tickets were $9 ($6 for bleacher seats, but $3 is worth having a back) so we decided to check out the games this weekend.

Tonight was the first game vs. Bethune-Cookman University.

Which, awesomely enough, turned out to be a no-hitter by Gator pitcher Jonathon Crawford. I managed to get a picture right after the final out.

It's a really awesome thing, seeing a no-hitter live. Especially going into the 8th and 9th. Everything gets a little more tense, every play starts to matter a little bit more. You can sense the franticness that gets added to the fielding. He was, at one point, clocked at 98 mph on a four-seam fastball. Kid was one walked batter away from a perfect game.

I tried to get a photo of the scoreboard but it was too bright for my phone.

The regionals are double-elimination, so there are two more games this weekend. Tomorrow is vs. Georgia Tech.
