I have a 98 custom platinum with a response trigger and when i hook up my HPA tank to it and pull the trigger whether the screw is all the way in or out it is full auto.

But i went to my local paintball shop and asked him about it. He put a tank on it and shot it and it worked like a charm, the trigger was acting like a response trigger kicking back and stuff. So when i went home and put in my 68/45 crossfire tank it didnt go full auto but it wouldnt respond like it did at the shop. Just single fire. Could it be because the velocity is too low now? Maybe the tank he used was a lower/higer pressure tank?

It has to have something to do with my tank! i tried to increase the velocity and mess around with the response trigger valve. When i put the velocity up it will go back into full auto mode. What could be wrong with the tank? the gun worked fine on the tank at the shop.

Sounds like the tank might not be putting out enough pressure.  You need to measure the output pressure.

If this is the case is there a way to fix the issue? How can I measure it?

I use a pressure tester I made by screwing a gauge into the output opening on a ASA.

Screw it on the tank and voila!

Yes you are correct! i bought it to my local shop and they assured it was low pressure. They tried to replace the low pressure with a high pressure regulator and noticed it would not unscrew from the bottle which i was told means they used red loctite on the regulator. Idk what to do next and would take all the info or guidance i can acquire from you guys. Thanks in advance

Nah, it's not loc-tite, it's against DOT regs to use any form of thread locker on a bottle valve. It's just torqued in to manufacturer's specs and the pro-shop probably didn't have the proper spud to remove the valve. I'd contact the tank manufacturer and see if they can give you any help in figuring out how to get the valve off, or go to swapmytank.com and do a tank swap for a hi-pressure output tank.
