Regret selling that $500 CMMG AR you had awhile back? I was born into an AWB state, but it's not THAT bad.

Actually, no I don't. BUT, that's only because I got my FAL receiver in prior to the ban. Also, we can have anything over 30" so long as it doesn't have multiple features on top of the detachable box mag.
Regardless, MSI and NRA-ILA lawyered up when they first found out about the bill and will be filing an injunction with the courts ASAP.
What's more, the dumb SOBs who voted FOR this thing are all up for election next year. Everyone is being encouraged to change their voters registration affiliation to "Democrat" immediately to vote them out in the primaries.
There's going to be hell to pay. We aren't done fighting yet.

The same thing is happening here in NY. The NRA-ILA and NYRPSA got it's lawyers together and are going after Lil' Andy and his gang of morons. There have been injunctions filed. It turns out that Andy's "message of necessity" was based on an incident in another state, not NYS and is a violation of NYS Constitution as well as US Constitution. Now Andy can't seem to find the money to pay for everything that the SAFE act needs. It will be a very interesting year. I have 10 days to make those evil baby slaying standard capacity magazines go away and one year to register those evil "assault" rifles I own, you know the semi auto Ruger 10/22 and the like.

Yeah, there's no funding for the registry, or any other provisions in this law for that matter, here in MD.
Getting ready to establish a trust for my firearms in MD as a safeguard for me and my family. Gonna finally get some use out of that prepaid legal policy I have.
Unconstitutional in every way, shape, and form, and the FOP guys have all but said that they will not obey. MSP (Maryland State Gestapo) are the only ones who "supported" it on the LE side, and even then, their rank-and-file are saying they won't obey.
Honestly, I can't wait until I have to go to traffic court and ask the judge to have the bailiff arrested for violations.

The majority of Sheriff's departments in NY are also saying "Stuff it" as far as NY-SAFE goes. We had one of our instructors tell us that "My office has no plans on enforcing SAFE." The NYSP though, they're in a tight spot. They've been handed the honor of being the agency that state residents are to contact if they want to rat out one of their friends and neighbors who might not be in full compliance with the new regulations for a bounty of $500, so their hands are tied because if they don't drop the hammer on someone, the state will come down on them.

There is no money in place for the SAFE act, they can offer a reward but will be hard pressed to pay it.

AND, don't forget it's a bounty. If it doesn't lead to a conviction, you don't have to pay it. They can turn their heads the other way and never convict anyone on it and never have to pay.

Our sheriff posted his message a few months ago. He'll never allow his deputies or federal agents to enforce any legislation that takes firearms from legal owners in his county.
I'm not worried about state legislation. I do worry about what our sham of a republican part will do to actually fight on the national stage.

I still can't get .45 or .308 ammo at a reasonable rate here.

Good going . . . now the media won't have to do any work at all when it comes time for them to publish how many rounds you had.

Unfortunately, most of that will be gone by the end of Phase II of the academy, so I'm not worried.

Check ammoman.com throughout the week. The .45acp comes and goes, but the 308 doesn't show up as often. It's in bulk so go in halves with a friend if you must.
You could drive to the Cheaper than Dirt store, but they might have marked their prices up over the last few months.

I'll check that out, thanks.
Our local CTD has been at the center of the price craze. They've both skyrocketed in price and shut down in inventory.
I did manage to find a local dealer selling Bushmaster M4's for 1300 and Springfield Micro 45s for 800, both of which are insanely cheap given the market.
