I took apart my 98 custom the other night to clean up from a chopped ball. Today as soon as I screwed in my HPA tank, air just started blasting out the barrel. Does anyone know what this could be?

Did you lube all the o-rings properly, also possible that you might have damaged one of the o-rings, my guess would be one of the o-rings on the bolts or valve.

Did you cock the marker before screwing in the tank?  Was your tank almost empty?  Did it stop leaking after you cocked it?  If it kept leaking with the marker cock and a full tank then there's an issue with your valve.  If this is a new marker the valve has a 2 year warranty & can be replaced for free.  You can contact any Certified tippmann dealer for service.  I would start with the company you purchased it from.
