Hi I brought a paintball gun about a year ago, it was a battery one and it looked good the guy said it worked I couldn't try it because there was no gas in the bottle. I took it home anyway which was a mistake, when I eventually put gas in it it never worked and I took it to work at a paint ball place and they couldn't getting it working either they did know what brand the gun was but there was no spring or o ring in it I think I cant remember now and I don't know where to get it from or what to do with it now, and I don't want to sell it to someone if it doesn't work. Help please
Thank shannon

Can you post a picture of it? You didn't really give us much to go on as far as description.

It would be helpful if you could post a pic or two of the marker.

You mention that you do not know the brand of the gun. Somewhere on it should be the company name, or model name or number which would all be useful.

If you took it to paintball place and they couldn't help you, although you mention that it had no spring or O ring, then they are not real "air smith's". I would look for another place.

Selling a marker, once identified, that doesn't work is not a problem as there are people out there that might buy it to repair, modify into something else, or salvage it for parts. As long as you let them know that the marker is not operational, then you have disclaimed everything you need to.

You first have to upload your image somewhere on the web (photobucket or similar comes to mind).

When you are making a post, there is an icon that looks like a picture of a tree. This is where you can put the URL of where the image resides.

Hope that helps.

It's an older, lower-end sear-tripping Pirahna or Spyder (or a clone of those). Pretty common and the parts are easy to come by and pretty interchangeable. $30-$40 USD as it sits depending on what brand it is.

The internal design is basically the same with all double-stack markers like this. If you're missing a spring, it's likely the mainspring which is pretty basic and any basic Spyder model mainspring should fit, or can be cut-down to fit. As for the o-ring, it could be a valve o-ring, bolt o-ring, or other o-ring and again, is a standard size. It should cost less than $10 to fix.

Here's a link to a video which should explain just about everything you need to know on disassembly, reassembly, and trouble-shooting a stacked-tube marker: https://youtu.be/x4tlstfcf4o" rel="nofollow - Video
