Is the latest news from South Africa right wing paranoia or is it true? Is land expropriation a thing?

Talked with him just now. It's being touted as a measure of last resort, but it's definitely a "thing." Zim all over again if it goes down.

Also, is this expropriation of the elite or a sky-is-falling need to GTFO event?

If it actually happens, it's a GTFO because there won't be anything left when the dust settles. They're essentially saying that they're going to take the farms from the white farmers who, you know, know how to actually run a productive farming operation, and divide it out amongst a lot more people who really don't know the first thing about farming. That's not good. That's exactly what happened in Zimbabwe in the early 2000s that sent that particular country from being the largest exporter of food in Africa, to being the largest importer of food in Africa. Furthermore, the economic fallout from that whole ordeal (called the Jambanja) crimpled the Zim economy to the point that the food that was available (in very short supply) was too expensive for people to buy. You could literally withdraw enough money (billions, if not trillions of dollars) from the bank to buy a loaf of bread, walk into the store, and then not have enough money to buy it 5 minutes later because the Zim Dollar was falling so rapidly. The Rand is already less than half its value just 7 years ago due to massive corruption and other factors within the ANC that have been crippling the S. African economy. It'll go into freefall if they kick white farmers off their land (with or without compensation). The whole thing is a move by the ANC to try to shore up their voter base as they've been losing ground to both Marxists and opposition parties. If they actually go through with it though, it'll spell disaster.

Yes, but it has to go through a constitutional committee because it actually requires a change to the constitution to go into effect.

Pretty much what SSOK said.

It has always been threatened but they have promised it wouldn't happen. Now it will. It is amazing thatit is always prime farm land which is required. Never the hard to farm parts.

Interesting it isn't only WHITE farms. The Zulu nation is mobilizing a legal defence to protect "their" lands, which they siezed from others earlier.

You'd think the perfect example of Zimbabwe being in the midst of returning farms would be a clue.

It is also interesting to note when we "stole" the land there were 30 000 Zulus. There are currently 14 million. Where is this land meant to be coming from? There are almost 55 million RSA citizens. There isn't enough white owned land for everyone, there are only 2.2 million whites. Besides the Venezuela style problems looming they are setting themselves up to fail badly.

So while no concrete plans to move out? We are looking at options.
