Taking a road trip, what should I stop and see while passing through? Big fan of pretty National and State Parks. As well as historical sites. Also what are some must eats?

Best stop on that trip is here: 39.289458, -77.287673
Also, when you get to Frederick, MD, instead of taking 70 west, head south on 340 to Harpers Ferry to see the John Brown Raid site, then head on up through Shepherdstown and across the river to see Sharpsburg/Antietam. Also, I-81 through VA is nothing but big rigs and slogs of traffic. It's longer to go up through WV, but much prettier with cooler things along the way.
Here's the amended map: https://goo.gl/maps/TLrC7Vh8AK52
Should you take my advice, definitely stop for gas and a Tudor's biscuit in http://lewisburg-wv.com/" rel="nofollow - Lewisburg, stop at the https://greenbankobservatory.org/" rel="nofollow - National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Greenbank or take a quick side-trip to https://wvstateparks.com/park/cass-scenic-railroad-state-park/%5dCass" rel="nofollow - https://wvstateparks.com/park/cass-scenic-railroad-state-park/]Cass to ride a Shay Locomotive up a mountain, do a little hiking or climbing at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seneca_Rocks" rel="nofollow - Seneca Rocks and enjoy the Monongahela and GW forests in general.
Blue Goose in Hancock, MD on is a must-stop for baked goods right before you head north to PA on I-70W.

Perfect, exactly what I'm looking for. Any suggestions on what/what not to see in D.C.? My only plans so far is the Vietnam memorial, and lots of museums.

Skip Missouri and all that and go through SD. Hit up Badlands and Rushmore.

Vietnam memorial is cool if you've never been. I highly recommend the Korean War Memorial. It's haunting at night in the fog or snow. WWII memorial is pretty neat as well. All the Smithsonians are neat (and free) but crowded. If you want to see something really cool, stop at the https://airandspace.si.edu/udvar-hazy-center" rel="nofollow - Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center on your way into DC on I-66. It's right next to Dulles Airport. Entry is free, but you have to pay for parking because the airport authority and toll agency technically owns the lot. It's worth ever penny though. The Air and Space museum on the national mall is for those who don't know any better. The Udvar-Hazy center is where those in the know go. You can get right up next to the frikken Enola Gay for crying out loud!
Spy Museum is fun, but nothing special. Newseum is better in my opinion. When leaving DC, try to take the GW parkway on up to I-495/I-270N. It's a beautiful drive. Baring that, the Rock Creek Parkway is another gorgeous drive in the heart of the city. For natural wonders near DC, a drive out to https://www.nps.gov/choh/planyourvisit/greatfallstavernvisitorcenter.htm" rel="nofollow - Great Falls Tavern visitor center on the MD side of the Potomac. I think it's like $5 to park. You get the 1-2 combo of the C&O Canal plus a short hike to Great Falls which is pretty awesome to see.
When heading on up to I-70W or US 340 (if you decide to do Harpers Ferry/Antietam), take some time to check out Frederick, MD. Market Street is pretty damned awesome. It's main-street USA and runs much, much longer than you'd expect. All kinds of cool shops and restaurants. No less than 3 vinyl record stores, skate shops, and the http://www.civilwarmed.org/" rel="nofollow - National Museum of Civil War Medicine which, while small, is very cool. Edgeworks is one of my favorite stores in Frederick. Knives, hatchets, axes, darts, etc.

P.S. If you need a place to stay for a day or two, mi casa es su casa. We're a bit out of town, but if you spend all day in DC and then want to crash with us before heading north, just let me know. PM me for phone number and email.

Gotta agree with tallen, the Spy Museum is cool but the Newseum is really great, don't sleep on it, it's definitely well worth checking out.

I'm doing good as well. Same thing, working and working and working for the most part. Living up towards Fredneck, MD these days. Bought a house on the very outskirts of Montgomery County about 6 years ago and had a kid 4 years ago. Wife and I are working on a business plan for a distillery back home in WV somewhere, but still have about a year before we've got everything right with it.
I think this is year 18 or 19 for me on the forum. Started coming on after my first year at CIA ('98/'99) when I started playing paintball all the time.
