That shroud is pretty awesome! I like the set-up. It's a fun, good looking job of a machine gun.

PVC shroud, horizontal mounted x-chamber for the grip, Harris bi-pod, yes it's an e-grip, and yes there's a flatline under that shroud.

Sten or Sterling was the look I was going for. As far as price for the upgrades, about $57. $2 for pvc, $5 for a used Angel ASA, and $50 for the bipod. I won the A-5 and Flatline at a tourney, oh yeah, the E-grip was $115.

Nice gun You are running remote right? I would think that you would be a able to take the Standard ASA off from bottom of the grip. I guess the only problem is maybe if that becomes a problom with your E-grip. Have fun with it and nice job Nunrleft. Play safe and have fun.

well now you need to make an "ammo box" with a fake ammo belt going to the marker and a strap to carry it. then put the air tank in the ammo box and have a remote go through the ammo belt and come out at the last second to hoock up to the x chamber. just a thought
|
Posted By: nunrleft
Date Posted: 16 September 2004 at 12:04am
The Sten or Sterling look I was going for would have a magazine coming out the side in the place of the x-chamber. I could put a mag over the x-chamber...hmmm...got me thinking now.

The ABS plastic shroud has a two inch inside diameter and is cut to 9 3/8 inches in length. The bipod is actually mounted to the ABS shroud. The mount for the Harris bipod uses the original sling mounting hardware that came with the bipod, but since I could not find a rifle sling retainer that did not use a wood screw I had to custom make my own out of a aluminum concrete bolt. The holes in the shroud were cut with a 7/8" spade bit and cleaned up with a dremel. The side handle is a fully functional 8 stage expansion chamber. I've thought about doing a clip over it, but the expansion chamber I have is too large to fit inside and for comfort purposes I like the round x-chamber. The picture was taken shortly after I finished the marker and I hadn't removed the stock ASA for testing purposes. The stock ASA has since been removed. A solid stock would defeat the purpose that this marker was intended for. If you notice the original verticle grip handle has been removed. The gas line has now been shortened to run directly into the ASA, no loop, and is now only 3 inches long. By doing this I have nothing on the bottom of the marker allowing me to get flat on the ground. The original Sten and Sterling had wire stocks and I haven't figured out how to make one yet.
