I found a field that is selling their old rental guns pretty cheap. They have a mix of pro-lites and pro-ams. I know they are pretty close to the same thing, but the pro-lite is lighter. Are there any other differences? Any suggestions on what to get? I'm planning on buying a few to loan out to friends to get them into the sport.

The internals on the Pro/Lites are slightly different that that of the Pro/Ams. Pro/Lites are newer in a manner of speaking. I'd probably pick up a Pro/Lite between the two.

How much are they selling them for?
If they are over $20-30 I wouldn't bother. Rental markers are used and abused, and there is a reason why the field is getting rid of them. If they are about $20 I would pick up 2 or 3 because you are going to go need spare parts, which are very hard to come by for a marker that old. |

They are selling them for $30. I am going to go check them out on monday to see if they are worth it. What are some common issues with these markers that I should pay attention to? Do the bolt and sear wear after a lot of use like the 98 does?

I would check the sear, rear hammer, the ASA for for cross-threading, and all the O-Rings. I would also put at least 30 rounds through it before I even thought about buying it.
