I have a prolite marker that leaks gas out of the barrel when I screw in my CO2 tank.
I've checked the form archives and all I saw that was similar was something about a cup seal, but no metion of how to fix it. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem? Scott |

yup happened to my 98c prolly a cup seal. um. i took mine to my local
shop they had it fixed in 5 minutes. so im sure it won't take that long
or cost that much if anything for labor.

Ya same i had mine leeking a while back and replaced the cup seal worked fine after that.

Well the prolite valve uses a couple o-rings around the outside
diameter of the valve. If one of them is damaged, you can get leaking
down the barrel.

My PC had that problem, beside when i was to stupid to cock the thing, all i did was strip and replace the o-rings and oil it up,it was good as new. It would be a good idea to do that anyways i usually strip my marker completly every other game.

Yes, I've cocked the gun before and after I put air on it. I've
shot it several times as well. It appears as if the rear bolt
doesn't move all the way forward when I pull the trigger. The gun
does recock though. The bolt does move all the way forward when I
shoot it without air, and obviously doesn't recock.
This is a very fast leak that seems to get worse the more I tinker with the gun. Does that sound the same as everyone who had cup seal problems? Also, how the heck do I take the value and power tube out? They are stuck in there tight. Scott |

That much is normal. The majority of the force holding a valve closed is the air pressure inside it when it is gassed up. Without a gas source, the bolt will move the valve easily. |

I think that there may be a misconception here concerning the cup seal in a Pro-Lite and Enos can correct me if I'm wrong. The cup seal is located within the Pro-Lite valve assembly. I may be somewhat slow when I take my stuff apart, but if I had a shop nearby where the airsmith could replace the cup seal in my Pro-Lite in 5 minutes, heck, I would let him (or her) fix all my stuff. That is assuming a complete disassembly, and not starting with a partially disassembled Pro-Lite. The cup seal in the valve assembly can be replaced, but it's not a job for the mechanically disinclined and why get aggravated when a replacement Pro-Lite valve costs about 30 bucks? |
