Welcome! As a new member be aware that the "search" button at the top of the page works very well. Do a search with the subject C-3, and C3. You will find maybe a couple of dozen threads about the C-3. And at least one of them shows views of a disassembled C-3. It is an entirely different design. It mixes propane and air in the correct stoichiometric ration to "explode" and propel the ball down the barrel. There is a spark plug and an ignition system to ignite the mixture. And the size of it all fits in an area about twice the space available in the A-5 housing. Edited by Bruce A. Frank - 25 February 2006 at 2:28am |

Defiantly not. The only gun right now that uses propane is the C-3. Although there are umors of a semi version of the C-3 in the making.

You could technically make a propane A5, If you wanted to rip out all of the internals, Replace them with mainly C3 parts, heavily modifed the recievers, made it a pump and replaced the ASA, Plus no cyclone unless you used a spring type F/A style cyclone thing..

A nicer option would be if it just compressed outside air and shot
that. And also had a paint magnet in the hopper so that if your paint
misses the target it would curve around and go back into your hopper to
be shot again.

http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e127/cadet_sergeant/tippC- 3.jpg (C-3) http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e127/cadet_sergeant/tippC- 3.jpg (A-5) you'll notice that on the C-3 there is a huge chamber, thats where the combustion takes place. that pushs a valve back and it goes up into and behind the ball (right behind the feed tube) the combustion pushs the ball. the A-5 would take a lot of modification to run off propane, and quite frankly it wouldnt be worth it IMO.
