Can someone tell me if Model 98 / Custom Pro threads are the same threads as the 98 custom? I want to buy a barrel that says: Model 98 / Custom Pro threads and I have an Alpha Black which takes 98 custom threads, I just want to be sure that it will fit. Thanks for your help! |

You should be ok with any 98C /Model 98 barrel made in the last 5 years. At some point, Tippmann changes the threads slightly. A newer 98 threaded barrel should fit any 98 (or the Alpha Back), regardless of age. However, old 98 barrels will not fit a new 98 without a thread adapter.
If you are buying a new barrel, don't worry. If you are buying an old, used barrel, be wary of the possibility that it won't fit correctly.
oh no, the world is coming to an end... Edited by motopsycho650 - 06 July 2008 at 10:36am |
