It will work, if you know how to instal it.

Coming in May 2005!

I thought on the 98 (non-custom) you have to send it in.  I have a 98C so I did my own, but you should definitely look into that before you buy it.  I'm 90% sure you have to send it in.

That is, unless you have your own tools, like a drill press that can drill through metal.

i wish i would have seen this sooner, yes you have to send the 98(non-custom) into them so they can mill it out. don't use a cordless drill. just send it in, i think its free, maybe not don't take my word on it. the 98 custom, is called the custom for a reason. to put custom parts in them. the only difference between the 98C and the 98 is the 98 isn't drilled out, and it has those fish gills on the sides.

There are couple holes that need t obe drilled into the side. That's the easy part. There is also material that needs to be removed in the handle to make room for the piston. Almost a half inche on each side needs to be hollowed out. Unless you have some metal working machinery at home and decent skill, or are a machinist and can use your work tools, I'd strongly suggest sending it in to Tippmann for retrofitting the RT.
