well i just bought my r/t and had no problem doing all the assembly, untill it came time to remove the valve from the stock 98 custom powertube... its jammed i cant get it out i tried pusing it out from the 1 end with an alan key but its a spring and it jsut sprung in a bit, maybe its the lock tight that fused the plastic power tube to the valve... i have no idea... any suggestions?

make sure your velocity screw is either all the way in, or all the way out.

i got it out with a pencil i had to push hard it flew across the room

i took a set of pliers and pulled, the tube was in a vise too so try that but dont tightin the vise to much.

I wouldn't use pliers.  I have always used the eraser end of a pencil.  I put it flat on a bench (pin side down) and pushed (velocity screw removed, of course).  Then, held it in my hands with my fingers laying over the pin side and pressed it out the rest of the way.  It can be hard to get it to initially drop, but once it does, the last little bit should be easy.

Pulling on the pin with pliers will do the job, but if you don't use a protective covering (leather or plastic) on the jaws you could heavily scratch the stem. For the most part those scratches wouldn't interfere with the movement of the pin through the hole in the body of the valve. Heavy scratches on the larger diameter pin used in some LPK valves could scrape and effect smooth movement.

Either push the valve out of the tube or or use soft jaw type pliers if you need to pull on the pin.

For future reference you can just bang the thick end of the powertube against a table or workbench and it will slowly slide down enough until you can grab the actual valve (not the pin) and pull it out. This is how Tippmann recommends it be done.
