 From what I understand the response triggers speed can be adjusted and if so what does it max out at?

The bps is not really adjusted it's the pressure to the piston you have to find the right spot to get the ''sweet spot''.  I've heard of people  getting them to 18-20bps.

21 bps is the highest I've heard. But that was on a Model 98 I think.

I get 17bps and that is plenty fast.
