in regards to the hopper, I play pretty closely (read: he covers my butt when its hanging out in the wind because I pushed upfield too far and too fast and vice versa) every week with a guy that shoots an older Dark Angel.  Apparently it keeps a history file, and you can check peak stats and average stats etc.  We checked his BPS one day just for fun, and he was fanning it at 15bps at one point.... he uses an old revy and has no complaints.  Granted, hes not hosing the field like a tourney player (no offense to any tourney guys out there, we just play rec/scenario/woods ball), but he'll rip out a string or two here and there if he thinks it'll get his point across (I like having him cover me).
