ive recently milled my 98c and tried to shoot it this morning...i just got my 2 fill stations refilled... the problem is that i get one shot that works and then the gun acts as though there is no c02... i think that it might be the recievers but im not sure. i took my stock right reciever from my other 98c and put it with the left milled reciever from the other 98c and i constantly got 2 shots and then a dud shot... does anyone know what i need to do? ive used 2 different gas lines as well to rule out a clog in the line |

Could be your CO2 tank. If thats not the problem, make sure that the sear and all the pins are in the correct locations. I have a feeling that its your CO2 tank that is causing the problem. It could be that something is plugging up the valve or you have a bad valve all together.
EDIT- BTW wrong place this should go in Mait. and Repair. Edited by iceman1186 - 14 May 2006 at 5:46pm |

It might.
The RT shoots faster (obviously) so the spring A) Wears out faster, and more importantly B) Needs to react faster. |

there's a sear spring, but it's the stock one, instead of the stiffer one that comes with the r/t

The weaker spring could cause the problem. Get a stiffer one and try it.

The weaker spring would just cause the gun to go "full auto". I'm guessing
that it is the ball detent is put in backwards. It sort of happened to me. I had one ball go the full distance and another go about half that. |

na im not shooting paint, im dry firing, and i took the detent out cuz i kept taking the gun apart and it started getting annoying cuz it kept falling out i would be happy if the gun went full auto, but now it wont even react, it just shoots as if there were no C02 attatched... i swear its gona be something easy that i shouldve noticed but havnt yet |

So... "its shoots as if there were no CO2" means... you pull the trigger and the sear releases the hammer, the hammer moves forward and hits the valve pin, and then nothing else happens, right? This would mean that there isn't enough/any pressure in the valve to blow the hammer back. This is your problem? I am curious as to why you would think that milling your receivers has caused this problem and not incorrect reassembly. What exactly did you mill on your receivers? BTW, this should be in Troubleshooting, not Upgrades. |
