First of all I would like to thank everyone in advance for the help that I know will be coming. Second I recently purchased a Core Coiled remote with the Slide Check and Quick Disconnect. When everything is attached to the tank and the gun, I turn the nob on the tank end to open the lines for air. There are no leaks when the slide check is off. But when i slide it to send air to my gun, half of the air enters the gun and half leaks out near the quick connect (coupler). Is there an O-Ring missing or possibly damaged. Because I have taken it appart and there appears to be no O-ring to be damaged. Thx |

try gassing up with air going to gun first then use slide
check to disconnect air to gun.I have a java remote that uses 2 standard tank o-rings in the slide check itself. I think it needs back pressure first before blocking air to gun.I hope this helps your situation and check fittings for reteflon taping. |

Today I removed the slide check completely and hooked up the remote to the gun just like any remote without a slide check. when i turned on the air at the co2 tank the coupler leaked air, and a lot of air. Is this problem from a missing O-ring on the remote near the coupler. Because when I looked at pictures of my remote online I saw no such O-ring on the male end of the coupler. Or is this because there is not enough teflon tape on the threads. I don't think teflon tape is an issue but I may wrong. The moveable ring on the quick disconnect is what freezes up first and fastest, it doesn't seem like the threads are letting air out. So is there an O-ring on the male or female part of the quick disconnect if there is any. Edited by Rudy |

I have a remote that I disconnected when there was still a shot worth of pressure in the line and found that there was an o-ring stuck in the female end and the tip of the male end seats up against it. There was no retention mechanism to really retain the o-ring other than the friction between the interior and the o-ring. (A dumb design If you ask me) (the quick release on my scuba reg acually has a grove to retain the o-ring and it seals the end so it isn't flowing when disconnected But I imagine that that is to much of a retriction or paintball(?)) (I doubt that since an air chisel can be run off the accessory hose (150psi) and it is an upstream valve so it could take much more pressure than the ~150psi on my reg putting it on pressurized could be a pain though) |

I could fix it, if only I had a bigger hammer

I left out the fact that I discovered this because the o-ring shot out when I disconnected the quick release. (hopefully it is in a better place since I never saw it again) If there is any play when yours is connected then there is probibly a missing o-ring. I don't know the brand of mine since I bought my coiled remote off a friend. |
