I actually took a class this past semester that was all about how to deal with scientific studies. It was a political science class, but the knowledge can be applied to other areas of science. It dealt with understanding polling and sample studies, and all of the various barriers something needs to pass to be consider causation and controlling for variables.
So, here is to a journalist trying to eliminate the problems associated with step three on that chart. |
