Anyone else see this movie? Dont be fooled by the preveiws (like i was) it isnt scary at all it totally stunk... I was really disappointed...The only good thing about the movie is how easy it is to make fun of (me and my friend sat though the hole movie being retards makin fun of it and the people in front of us were laughing their butts off (i tihnk at what we were saying) it was a good time)

i didnt hear anything but the comercials looked like it would be the first really scary newer movie (like in the same category as the shining(sp?)) but it wasnt scary at all.

The previews looked awesome.

The movie itself was one of the worst pieces of cinematic garbage I ever had the misfortune of seeing.

first of all, there was just a post about this. u need to search. I actually saw the movie. if you want to get scared, don't see this movie. its just interesting and has lots of twists.

The ending is that the monsters were fake, the people made them up. I think the movie was a great idea, but poorly directed. Besides, the monsters looked like porcupines.

Is it worse than signs? Take in the fact that the aliens who were allergic i guess, to water, try and take over earth which is primarily water. I dont see how something could be worse than that plot.

"The Village" previews had me fooled as well. I expected a cross between "The Crucible" and "Sleepy Hollow"... unfortunately, it was much like "The Giver" novel, which also sucked!

 In case nobody reads thier books on thier summer reading list, "The Giver" is about a society controlled by a group of elders where no one experiences any emotions; until one person does one thing that throws the entire system out of whack. Kinda like the movie "Equilibrium", kinda like the novel "Brave New World".

Story? Great.

Actors? Great as well, though I don't care for the Jaquin Pheonix guy (or however it's spelled, probably not his original name anyway...)

Background Music? Absolutely beautiful.

But the movie just wasn't done well, it was boring and nothing about it excited me. One of those movies that would be good to see, but you shouldn't waste money at the theater -- rent it.
