    Posted: 06 October 2007 at 3:59pm

I just recently bought a second Tippman A-5, because I thought my first one was defective, but now I realize I may not be using it correctly, because I am facing the same issue over again.

The tippman only appears to fire one round, before I have to manually feed the hopper with the push pin, AND cock it again. Surely I am doing something wrong, as it says right on the box "Semi-automatic".

What is the normal procedure for getting the A-5 to shoot multiple rounds without having to manually feed the cyclone hopper AND recock it?

Sounds like you may be low on air. Have you tried using a different bottle on it?

Also, Do you have any aftermarket parts on it. Try making it totally stock, if you have the original parts.

Also check to see if the the small plastic hose that runs from the side of the marker to the cyclone is attached and not damaged.  No air to cyclone means it won't feed.

Or maybe you have a low-output tank.  Are you using CO2 or HPA?
