well, how much have you played, a tippmann would be a better first gun, and less mantince, and super upgradable, but an ion is a better gun all around, but if you do get a tippmann get the a-5 for a first gun, easier to take apart.

It depends on the players experience, equipment, etc. But just looking at the guns... Ion>Tippmann.

if you do get a ion, get a new feedneck, my friend bought put halo b and when he put it in the feedneck it got stuck andwhen he tried to take it out the feedneck broke. hes got a q-lock now

For the relatively low price, the Ion is best for a more all around style of play. (i.e. both speedball and woodsball)
However, if you are straight up woodsball, then go for the Tippmann |
