hi, im new, and have a few questions.
first, i have a 98c with flatline and tippman expansion kit. The gun works well, but i recently got a 3000psi nitro tank (brand new) from my friend cheap.
I tried it out and noticed that nitro doesnt work well with the expansion chamber (low velocities and such).
Id like to use the nitro more since i hear its more effective. Should i remove the entire expansion chamber kit? or should i get a gas through? The low pressure system is nice, but a tad bit expensive for me.
How does the 98c shoot with nitro (w/o any air upgrades)?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of using nitro?
im asking here since u all seem to know alot about tippman.

If you only have a 3000 PSI tank, you aren't going to get to many shots out of it. If you still have C02 as well, you can get the DOP x. Chamber, which will work extremely well with co2 and act as a gas thru for your nitrogen. The x. Chamber can be found at countypaintball.com, under air sorces and accesories.

The expansion chamber is not going to make you shoot any worse or better with nitro. The expansion chamber lets the co2 change from its liquid state into a gas and nitro already is. The 98c with nitro will be a little more effeicent than co2 and the nitro will not hurt your gun or wear down o-rings. There are no disadvantages to using nitro.

but at the range yesterday, nitro was giving me poor velocities, like 230fps, where with CO2 i was shooting 300 fps (and had to lower it)

All u need to do is remove the X- chamber kit and buy a regulator. If u sell the X- chamber kit the reg shouldny cost u much.

I second Davey....
Sell the X-Chamber on Ebay and buy a palmer male regulater. That way you can use your C02 and your nitro tank. |
