I have been messing around in photoshop since i am begining to
understand it. one of my friends told me to make an afi paintball gun.
heres the pic. Its kinda noobish so forgive me.

Umm it looks liek a bunch of pics blurred together and lowered layer
opacity. I think you should make it look like it's really on the
gun. And AFI sucks. :P

I'm pretty sure he doesn't care if you hate afi or not. He wasn't asking if you liked them or not so why even make a remark about it? MAke reamarks about the photoshop job he did, not if you like the band or not.
