The 12 gram experiment

I was bored, i was sick of talking about religion so i realized i have about 50 empty 12 grams laying around. I always kind of wondered how thick the metal on one is, so i took one out to the lathe with the camera.



Its EMPTY!!! Dont try anything like this with a full cartridge!!



Its spinning in this shot, you just cant tell because my crappy camera decided blur would look cool.



A little way cut through with a parting tool



Gnarr!!!!!!!!



The end result. If your interested, its a little over 1/16" thick.

can you cut me a bunch lenth wise. then i can have boat wars in my bathtub agein and put littly army men inside them. wait i ran over all my army men with the lawn mower... damn

I tried it wiht a hacksaw like a year ago, takes like 30 minutes if you want to do it without making your hand sore.

I cut one open with a dremel before, I think they are built too strong.
