I have lurked here for sometime, and decided it was time to bring my gun out to show. This is what wood stocks should look like.
The stock is modeled after the Navy Seal's sniper rifle.
The original plastic shroud is what started this project, it was cheap plastic and cracked after too much play.
If one is to go to all the trouble of wood stocks, you HAVE to have matching grip panels. Hope this give some one out there ideas or helps in some way. Rate it if wish, good or bad she is mine and I love her.

I say good job, looks quite good, especially the grips. The shroud was an excellent idea.

Looks cool. Don't know if i like the wood ontop of the gun...but otherwise, sweet. The stock is very nicely done.

Those grips look a little hurried. They don't cover the whole grip frame area.
Other than that it looks pretty clean. Nice. |

Yea...I was not completely pleased with the grips, but working the wood down that thin to be comfortable made them smaller. Any thiner on the wood would have made them more prone to cracking or breaking. I may go back and redo those, but I am getting to where I kind'uh like the feel of them as they are.

nice, i too shrouded my flatline in wood. it's on my AK-A-5 project, which is now clear oak. i like the look of your work, it's a nice piece. i think it's sweet. it's good to see more people who actually make mods, and make mods that look good, or better than what you can buy. keep it up.
why buy when you can make? john. |

great job...the grips r a lil' small and i think you should either paint ur gun or put a darker finish on it cuz the wood is shiny and stands out, A LOT!!!

Ya I respest someone who can do that too, don't like the stock or the grips, but that shroud rules.
