Completely off the Paintball path is a new game out there for all you Warhammer 40k fans who already knew this was coming out, and for those who didn't know it, it's out, and the opening cinema was worth it!

This game is (albiet a little off in the physics department) outstanding!!  You can download the demo at www.portent.net

I'll DL the demo.

But I am wating for Half Life 2 to be reaslesed on Steam.

Then I'm gonna buy the retail version, so I have a box to put up next to my Doom 3 box.

And connecting to the internet through Steam every time to play Single Player, and having no control over uninstallation/self modding sucks.

Mmmm Half-Doom

Dawn of war is alright, plays a little like Warcraft 3.

There are a few problems with unit movements, as they sometimes don't want to listen to your command.  Also you have to do a lot of micro management, because they sometimes don't want to form properly.  For example, if you tell a space marine squad with long range weapons to attack, they'll normally just stand at hte back, and let the few marines with long range weapons to attack, leaving you with  half a dozen marines just standing around.

Overall, the single player experience was enjoyable, story was a little predictable, but so be it.  The in game cinematics were alright, as they were done with the in game engine, again like Warcraft.  There were some animation errors, but overall, it wasn't bad.

A must for any Warhammer fan as it is the first good warhammer game since Space Hulk.
