okay this is one of the most contreversial upgrades to me. i need to hear from people who have bought stocks, and have kept them. i need to know if i really need a stock or a drop, and i'm not exactly sure which will work fine with me. basically what i trying to say is, do i really need a stock, cuz so far i have nothing to rest on me to aim, cuz i have a remote line. and ehwn i just used my regular stock A-5 ASA setup, i never really liked it. and so i've come across this stupid decision: get a stock, or get a drop, and loose the remote line. expenses aren't really in my priority, if that helps with you advice. all your help is appreciated |

Well if your loving the remote then get a stock. If you want to put the tank back on your gun then get a drop. I had a stock. Played with it for awhile, took it off. Put my drop back on and have not switched. Then I sold my marker.

Well, it depends on how you like to play. I have the collapsible carbine stock. I keep it collapsed in tight for movement, then if I'm taking long shot I'll open it out a bit. It definitely helps stabilize the marer. Of course, my setup is more of a woodsball configuration; almost a scenario marker. One problem you'll find with the stock is taht you won't be able to drop your head enough to look down the barrel. In my case, I have te flatline, which helps raise it up to a more viewable point. I had a red-dot aimpoint sight on it as well, but found that in combat I enver actaully used it; watching the balls was far easier. I've replaced it with a 4x air rifel scope so that instead I'll at least have something I can use to spot enemies at a distance, or take a closer look at something that looks suspicious in the woods. I think my stock is a godsend. It feels far more comfortable (I'm military, and hence used to real rifles), and really does tighten my aim up. Ultimately, though, it's up to you. Try it out and see how it feels. Another nice thing is that having a stock just makes a gun look a lot better- the intimidation factor can be useful, and is not to be underestimated. ;) |
