Depends on weather, part of the body, range, velocity, and paint.

Anywhere from "AAAHHH OOOWWWW YEEEOOWWW!!!!" (nutshot in cold weather with super-hard shells at one foot) to "Hit!" (torso, mask, arms, etc with normal shells at decent range [more than 10 feet]).

Usually it fades quickly, and the few times I've gotten bruises, they didn't hurt, just looked ugly.

Sometimes you got so much adrenilne you don't know you got shot. But usaully you will feel it, its like what they said, a rubber band snap.

^ what he said..........it doesn't hurt too bad in a game b/c you are pumped up from playing.  Usually find myself angry/disappointed from being out, but not from being hurt when hit.

Only thing I think is uncomfortable / painful is getting shot in neck / Adams Apple. You might choke a lil' but looks like you got a hickey . I said in the Non Poll post not to worry about it. So take my advice : Go out there , be safe , and have fun.

It depends. Obviously, the closer you are to the gun your being shot with the more it will hurt. It hurts differant amounts depending on where your shot also. Some places you barely feel it, but in the hands, ribs or neck hurt quite a bit. its not bad, i woudlnt worry.

The more you worry and think about it, the more it will hurt. Just get it into your head that it doesnt hurt that much and youll be fine.

i play with about 2 layers and i play quite a bit im used to it and when ur used to it its really not that bad aslong as ur haveing fun

Its a little less then a rubber band snap. I think a bee sting says it best. A little pain for 10 seconds tops. Don't worry about the pain. When you are playing the rush and adrenilne will overcome any feeling.

Don't play with people who have not chronographed their markers.

If you keep it below 300 paintball bruises are tolerable.

p.s. if you don't know what marker to get go with the tippmann 98 custom they are awsome markers for all players!
