The Red Dot wont make it any more accurate than any other quality barrel out there , look more for paint to bore match , and proper barrel cleaning (Really important with the flatline , I hear ) .; also the flatline does best with small paint , the paint to bore match doesnt apply to the flatline, but it is Very important with any other barrel .
SL68-II , micro honed and polished .688" bore . Tuff Enuf .

No, it just says "more accurancy" and costs $119.00 for no reason. Yes its accurate, as long as a ball doesnt bbreak in it and stuff like that. It's a great upgrade, i can pretty much "snipe" all my friends

The Flatline is accurate when installed correctly and used properly.

Yea the flatline is very accurate but you will have to get used to the flat trajecktory if you have played for a lonk time without it. most older players tend to ark without even knowing it and hence they dont give the flatline the chance it deserves. just get used to it before you dicide and youl grow to love it.

The A-5 flatline is UNBEATABLE, You don't have to screw around with it turning it a hair left or right like the 98c and at 65 feet is't more accurate then my stock barrel or my 16inch progressive.

forget the red dot scope and yes, the flatline is accurate. You just have to get used to it.

I personally don't like the Flatline. A friend of mine was fed up with his after only a year so he just gave it to me for free. I pitted it against my 14" Boomstick and 14" TearDrop. It can go long alright but its not very consistent.

For 120 bucks either go for the Boomstick for a couple bucks more, or spend a 1/3 of that on a TearDrop--which IMO is the best barrel I've ever used. Again, IMO, the Boomstick is great but its primarily just for show and bragging rights.

^^^ sounds like you've got an unconsistent gun there, buy a reg and you will see a hell of an improvement.

the flatline is as accurate as any other barrel out there.

if it moves it becomes a target

and snipers don't exist in paintball!! get that in your heads people!!

mine is accurate to a point then it goes off in another direction but I never shoot that far only just to make people move so I know where they are

it took me about a week with adjusting it to perfection now it works like a dream

its supposed to be pretty accurate and the red dot wont help. scopes arent good for paintball in my opinion because paintballs are accurate enough for a scope. and the good thing about the flatline is that it is known for adding 100 feet to your shot. great for woodsball taking those long range shots.

you shouldnt get a flatline for speedball because if u try to do leaning shots it curves. also dont turn ur velocity up too high in the woods because ur balls will practically curve up. we were tryin to make them do backflips one day. i personally have to say the flatline is only good for woodsball or big speedball fields.

The Flatline is accurate.

There are only two things you have to remember:

1. Keep the barrel clean and free of debris.

2. Make sure you use small to medium-bore paint. The Flatline is a large bore barrel, but because of the way it is designed it needs smaller paint.

Most people who criticize the Flatline don't follow these two rules. They use the wrong paint, or they broke a ball in the barrel, and they think that the Flatline is crap. It's not, you just need to take care of it.

I don't own one, but I've played with about ten diffwrwnt users of them (A-5 Flatty). I agree with Skorpion, 7 of those 10 were not using it right. They just got when I met them, and they're standing at the shooting range complaining about it. I start asking questions, and I get all the answers I need to correct them. 6 of those 7 went to Wal-mart to get cheap paint, either because mom said so or because it's cheaper there. I give them a few Marballizers or Evils to shoot, and suddenly the Flatline is the coolest thing in the world, when only a minute ago it was the biggest piece of crap they've seen. I suggest to them to buy PMI Premiums because those work well. 3 of those 6 I've met up with again, happily shooting PMI Premiums. Now, that 1 guy outta the 7, he was trying to clean the Flatty with an old BE squeegee. He broke a ball in it, and had played four games until I noticed him. Luckily, someone had the correct squeegee and cleaned it for him. He was shooting Evils, and was mad that the proshop guy lied to him about needing to use Evils to make it work right. Of course, the paint he was sold was completely slimy and was beginning to dimple on the shell. He then happily bought PMI Premiums from another proshop.

And all the problems were solved. Well, except for one guy. He later complained that at long range, he loses accuracy. I showed him that I too lost accuracy at long range. I also showed him that my DYE UL didn't lose consistency, as long as the windspeed didn't change too rapidly. I then showed him that his Flatline also didn't lose consistency by shooting a barrel 6 times at long range. Sure, the first three missed while I was getting used to his gun's setup, but the consistency was still there.
