When I was passing through El Paso Texas on my way back to Florida last Sunday, I saw a paintball field alongside the interstate. Since I hadn't played in almost a week I had to stop and get in a few games. The field is called Swat Paintball, and it's set up pretty well. The fees are cheap, there are rental guns available, and best of all, they don't require you to use crappy, overpriced field paint. My Angel died after a couple of games (stupid battery!), amazingly, it seems like no one at the field had ever seen an Angel before, but as it didn't work it didn't impress anyone. Luckily I had my trusty ANS cocker as a backup gun. It took a few games to get a feel for the field, and toward the end of the night I started to play pretty well. Even though the teams were never the same, and there were alot of newbs, everyone worked well together, and the games were competetive. If you live in or near El Paso, check the place out, I'll be sure to stop and play some more there the next time I'm in town.
