C02 is in a liquid form in the tank, while HPA also known as compressed air is in gas form,  so when your using c02 liquid c02 can enter your gun and expand inside causing freezing which isn't good for the parts and velocity fluctuation.  That is why Hpa is better.

*EDIT*: it is fine to use c02 but if you ahve a high end guun or anything electric you don't want it freezing your boards and or parts.

its alot more consistant. this meaning no velocity spikes, and every shot will look, preform, and sound the same. also keep in mind that it is operating at the same pressure as co2, making it not much different as a gas. but personaly i dont think its worth the money.
