I have heard that the power feed system on the A-5 Chops up the balls when fired rapidly and is not worth the money. Is this true? Please respond.

I don't break ball, except in my barrel. Period, no exceptions. No matter what rate of fire. Early Cyclones had some problems, but that has been addressed. |

Not true. Consider your source. Most people that dislike the A-5 (or any marker for that matter) usually do not own one, and have never used one themselves. And as such have no experience on which to base an opinion. Those that do have one and have problems, leave out the fact that Tippmann will warranty repair all thier markers for free(that's what that card is that came with your marker by the way). Like any mechanical device, when properly maintained and used properly, it will work great. The A-5 is well worth the money. Since installing the flatline barrel and e-grip on mine, I have shot more than 16000 rounds without a broken ball. And most of those rounds are in the full auto fire mode. |

^^^I rocked an A-5 for a long time, and hated the cyclone. I played
speedball, and with how much and how fast I'm constantly shooting, I
was burning through cyclones a lot. Every month it would just wear down
and I'd have to send it to Tippmann to be replaced. And it's big and in
the way. When snapshooting right, it's a bigger target, when snappping
left, it blocks your sight. The cyclone is the I got a different gun.

I've been using my A5 for over a year and the cyclone always worked perfectly for me. No matter how fast I'd shoot (my guess is about 10-12 bps) the cyclone would keep up. I would never shoot blanks or break a ball because of the cyclone, there was always a constant stream of paint. I think I've only been shot in the cyclone once before and it was right where it meets the gun so that shot would've broken on my hand or my face anyway. The cyclone does stick out a little more but you get used to it and learn to work around it. I still shoot lefty with it, I just have to stick my head out slightly more or tilt the gun a little. When I'm shooting from the right I just try not to stay out too long, I just shoot a quick burst and then go back in. Everybody makes the added width out to be a huge problem but it really isn't. People also say my 98 is hard to play with because it's bulky but I disagree completely. Hell, I play speedball with it that way and have no problems. You just have to know how to handle it.

My cyclone chopped so much it was horrible. Not to mention its a huge target, gets in the way and in my mind just dumb. Get a gun with a real feed system.
