Ok here is the deal. I have been playing 'regularly'
since 2001, and my first experience with the sport was in 1999 or
something. I have never played more than 5-10 times in a year, and
lately I have been playing even less.
I currently have an A-5, but I'm not such a big fan of it, and I've been toying with the idea of getting something new for a long time. At first, I was considering a cocker, but I really don't like tinkering with guns much. I don't have trouble doing so, I just really hate it. Next on the list, and still in my thoughts, is another 98c. It was my first gun, and I really liked it. I would like one to make it unique, but I have my eyes on shiny stuff too. So I would really appreciate any of your thoughts on what a cool gun would be just to play with every so often. I have N2, and I'd prefer to spend at most $400 (don't hold your opinion back based on the price, just tell what you'd go for) on everything, including a hopper. I don't like used stuff. I'm also open to perhaps a Phantom. I play speedball and woodsball, so, please help. |

BKO with an Egg or Halo TSA will set you back under 400$. Spend a little more and get a Halo B or Reloader, if ya want. And later, if you wish, you can send the gun in to ICD and they can install PDS. That is what I would do. |

WGP 04 Vertical Feed Autococker and an EGG II. The stock barrel is fine but an ultralite wouldn't hurt later down the road. |

Well, you could get the 98c as you said which would be nice. You know what it is like since you owned one once before. You could get a 12volt revvy hopper or evolution II (you wont need anything faster then that), responce trigger or ebolt, new barrel(lapco bigshot, J&J ceramic, dye ultralite) or a barrel kit(Evil pipe kit, Smart Parts Freak kit), drop forward(if you want), remote line(if you want), and then some soft gear(gloves, mask, pants, harness, ect.) if you don't have it already. You could also take the other road, the cocker road. Mech cockers do not need any tinkering or playing with. The problems only are more likely to start when to throw on an ebalde. I played with my mech cocker for about 4 months and never short storked or chopped a ball. You can sell your a5 to help finace either one of you guns. |

Try a Mag there small, plenty fast, still mech, and very easy to maintain.
There more durable/reliable than ANY other high end gun and are in my opinion the BEST looking markers around. But the 98c is a good choice too as is a ProCarbine. |

I would go for an ICD BKO or Mag. An eggy or revvy could keep up with those guns and later on you could get a Halo or Empire reloader. I would also say, that if you go the BKO, to get PDS installed. I have heard alot of good things about it. Hope you are able to make up your mind and come to a conclusion that you like. |

i have always liked mags...but i wouldnt get one unless it was really cheap. I would get either a cocker, a new b2k4, a used b2k4 with pds, a new impulse, a used vision impulse (b2k is better buy though), or a wgp sniper! i love how they look.

Just to remind you that an eggII, a revy, or a HALO tsa will not work very well with a BKO. The BKO's blowback is so bad that you absolutely need a force feed hopper. If you get an eggII, you will chop balls like there is no tomorrow. Some good hoppers that will work well with the BKO are the HALO B and the Empire Reloader B. If you do decide to get an eggII, you will at least have to get a vapor bolt, which runs around 40 bux. I'm not quite sure if that will even be sufficient enough. And then you have to do the detent mod on the BKO if you get the HALO B or Empire or else you will double feed and chop.

a mag would be perfect. my friend just ditched his tippmann and bout a 68 classic. they are so simple and extremely reliable and durable. eventualy ill get an RT pro, but not for a while. mags are very very small and great for both speed and woods.
