My grandfather used to work at at the local paper mill.  He recently retired and my dad (who works there too) cleaned out his locker for him.  In the locker was 2 o-ring kits with strings of black rubber, a razor for cutting the rubber, and loctite.  It is to make your own o-rings.  It took me a while to make them right, but I finnaly got them the right length to fit on my tank.  Now I have made about 10 in the last 10 minutes.  I was thinking of making them for my friends and selling them for like 30 cents a piece or something.  I figure that is fair since it is like $5 for 10 of them around here, and they are the crappy clear ones that don't seem to hold up nearly as long as the black ones.

I like the clear ones. The black ones easily snap in half for me.

The black material is most likely Buna. The clear is Urethane. Urathene is much more resistant to frozen co2 and most oils. Buna o-rings will break down sooner.

I'd stick with the Urethane.

Hmm, not ever been the case for me.  The black ones are thicker and don't tear nearly as easy in my experiences.
