What do I need to take out of a 98c(as in internals) to make it not recock by it's self.
I still need it to be able to fire by pulling the trigger.

If I can do it easily, I have a great idea.

Removing valve bolts would do it, but then you get shoot down and it woudlnt be reliable.

Removing the sear spring might do it, but I dont know.

well taking the sear spring out will make it go full auto.

Youll have to (to my knowlege) go into the valve, which you cant do.

Or you could go into extreme measures of putting a second sear in the front of the original one, so that way the blowback gasses cant blow it back.

Im just going to say that you cant do it.

Someone found a link in T&O back in December 04' and it showed how you could turn the 98c into a pump.

Like I said before....there is a kit available that can turn the 98c into a pump, I jus cant remember the direct link to it and I did mention it was mentioned in T&O.....if anyone is interested, you'll have to search for it there.

Cut down a new valve pin on a lathe, but leave out the diameter change at the tip.

Enos hit it. You need to eliminate the blowback gases and you would do that by sealing up the area around the valve pin and the valve body. I am sure you could rig something up that held an o-ring in there so you could still use the stock pin, or make a new one as Enos said.

yes, all you need to do is make a new valve "plunger" "A" is the stock valve. "B" is the modified plunger valve.
