i recently have purchased a flatline barrel and a folding stock. The stock gets in the way of the shroud from locking into position.(the stock has like a block that raises up and down). if i cut of part of the end octagon part on the shroud do you guys think that it will still work? this for the 98 custom... That should work. Just make sure you aren't cutting off any latch or clip that the shroud needs to lock into position. I don't think there is anything like that back there, but double-check.

just take off as little as possibe. use wire cutters, and take off the shoud first.
