So I got an upclose look at the new Piranha ACP pistol today. Didn't get to shoot it, but pretty close inspection. Clever design. The 12 gram goes under the barrel, making the gun more compact. The 10-rd loader has a clever easy opening mechanism for easy loading, but I see potential for spills during loading. The cocking handle is comfortable and ambidextrous. This gun can be used with equal ease in either hand. The grip looks and feels like the regular Piranha grip. Kinda cheap plasticy feel. Overall kind of neat. Has anybody else seen this thing? |

Pirahna doesnt make the ACP. Ariakon does. ACP stands for Ariakon Combat Pistol. My brother owns it and its very similar to the zues but much more air effiecient.

^^^^ Correct - my bad. The Piranha USP. Not ACP.
Sure look a lot alike, though - here is the Ariakon ACP:

I prefer the Zues G2+, the other 2 pistols can only use 12 gram canisters, wit the G2 you can hook it up via asa adapter to a remote line to whatever size co2 tank...in other words, you dont have to worry about running out air power, jus 10 rd pods....plus I like the way the G2+ cocks, its almost like having a real colt 45 or a glock 17.

They ACP will probably be able to take tanks soon. Its new so there hasnt been many upgrades for it yet, but I assome it will come soon. The cocking systems on the ACP and G2 are very similar. The ACP is much more effiecent then the G2. The G2 averages about 20 rounds a 12 gram. The ACP averages 30 and there will be a new delrin bolt for it soon(not made by Ariakon) and if that works out as good as the G2 one(its raised the G2 up to 30 shot a 12 gram) we can expect even more amazing results.

Doesn't constant air kind of defeat the purpose of a pistol?

Not really but, remember you cant refill the 12 gram co2 canisters...once each one is drained, thats it and at least wit a refillable co2 tank, you wouldnt have worry about that. |

thats not the point though, the pistol is supposed to be used as emergency's only/or for really tight close combat,id shoot the person 2x as much if i seen him/her usin the pistol as primary just to teach them a lesson.

The acp is set up to take bottom line adapters as well as Ariakon's
newest pistol the Overlord. The overlord also comes standard with a
delrin bolt.

My local proshop owner has been known to play big games with a PGP... He does alright. Wouldn't try that for speedball though. |

I've seen pump and pistol players that are a hell of a lot better than players using cockers and angels. The gun does not make the player, the player is what makes the gun good. If you can learn to play with a pistol or a pump you will be that much better if you ever go back to semi-auto or full-auto.

The point is that many pump players stick with pump-they just enjoy it that much. Either way, neither one of these guns is anything incredibly special in my opinion. PGP rocks all pistols.
