I wil soon be buying a smart partts impy and the guy before me has NO2 hooked up to it and i dont have that kind of money for a NO2 tank just yet....my friends have told me that impys are built to run on CO2 but i also heard from others that switching a gun from NO2 to CO2 ( and vice-versa) could really screw the internals of ur gun up? I was wonde3ring what i should do....bc later i dont know when but later i will eventually prolly hook up NO2 to it but until then i was wondering if it was safe to run CO2 on it until then??? Thanks for all of your help |

N2 is just a lot more useful, it in some cases can last longer than Co2. But CO2 is a lot cheaper in both refilling, and just buying the tank. if you're going to want a long lasting tank get a 20oz tank

I'm not sure with this gun, but I know you can cause damage on guns like the angel running "dirty" gas like CO2. If you choose to run CO2, you must have the tank antisiphoned, as you do NOT want liquid CO2 coming into the gun.

No2 is nitrous oxide, N2 is pure nitrogen. but its actualy compressed air or HPA (high pressure air). its very seldom if at all that youll get a pure nitrogen fill because its more expensive, and pretty much obsolete. just a little FYI. i wouldnt use co2 in an impulse unless its antsiphoned like he said. HPA is a worthwhile investment. |

if you play at a speedball field with all day air you might want to get
a very small nitro tank. If its all-day-air it doesnt matter how fast
it runs out as long as it lasts you the game.

If its just high pressure air why not get an aluminum tank? Ya dont need to spend 200 on a coke bottle.

Ima bit rusty , but isnt NO2 Nitrous Oxide ? You don't wanna be shooting that thru your marker , but N2 (Nitrogen) may be an option , even tho its almost obsolete for markers ,it has been almost totally replaced by HPA (High Pressure Air , or S.C.U.B.A. air ). Ahh , never mind , Trigger happy beat me to it . Welcome to the forum !! |

N2/HPA/Compressed air is the best out there. You could also just run Co2 but make sure it has a s.-tube in it to keep liquid co2 from entering it. And if u like the impy go for it.... but id wait abit to see how the ION turns out

No that is wrong. Impys are made to run on both Co2 and HPA, You can use co2 without a problem but you have to use an anti-siphon tube. |

He can do that but be prepared steel tanks are very heavy. The best tank is one made of carbon fiber. Its as durable as steel but its alot lighter.
