I just bought a black magic regulator for my 2004 autococker and i was wondering how to set it up. I have read several articles that deal with "sweetspotting" the reg but alot of them say different things. When I set the ivg on the autococker where should I have it in releation to being all the way turned in? --I read this "Some people set the IVG at the lowest setting, and then sweet spot the reg. There is one small problem with this. You loose the lower end of the adjustments when you do this. If your gun is shooting 290 fps on the day you sweet spot the reg and the IVG is all the way back, you are screwed if you need to turn it down later. By setting the IVG at the middle, or close to the middle of the threads, you not only gain the lower end adjustment, but you can also fine tune the sweet spot for the gun by not only setting the pressure, but also adjusting the spring tension using the IVG. ---this was from another site. "Start by turning your inline regulator all the way down to zero psi, also set your velocity adjuster at two turns in from all the way out." I don't want to be adjusting the regulaor every time I play. I would like to shoot a from 240 fps - 290 fps. So I would to be able to use the velocity adjuster to adjust in that range. |

I feel sorry for you. I hate having to adjust things because I always end up wasting paint, air, and time. I wish there was an "OPTIMIZE!" switch that would set everything on a marker to the perfect settings. |
