I migh be getting on a speedball team. I need to know some tips of what upgrades I should get, like a new barrel and any other ideas. Like many others, I am low on money, so I can't go buying an E-grip just yet. I also can't go HPA.I just want some of the essential things to get me going. I've been thinking if I should keep saving up and get an ION and use that as my main for speed and just have my 98 Custom as my backup and for woods.

Thanx

You know you can't get E-Grip for a 98C right?

As long as you know when to shoot and can read body language, a Mech Tippmann can even work well.

Its all about Communications, Keeping your Backs, and Mids informed on what you see, and just picking smart bunkers.  Also, you'll need to get good at the Break.   90% of the game is determined by the Break....  remember that.

Speedball is not rocket science, the Hardest part I find, is getting a perfect break... I mean, me and my Boyz are no Team XSV, but we can hold our own if we can get a good break.

The operative word is yet. They put the e-grip on the Pro.

If you don't have the dough for Hpa or the E-bolt or grip. I would study and save and seriously look at the Ion. About all you can do now would be a barrel and drop. You might, if you decide to use the 98, want to think about selling the flatline, x-chamber, remote, and rt to help with $.
