I read the thread in the regulars section and decided I needed to write in ...

Unfortunately, when the server got messed up a year ago I had to change my name (from Arbites [RAT] to Arbites) and lost my star. My post count was transferred, but my star was not. I have been "Soon to be gold" ever since. I guess soon means sometime this decade.

I can name one of the reasons many of the "old-time" regulars aren't around enymore - the lack of forum support. I know in my case I have been less frequent about logging in recently.

But with the current lack of the SMGOG (Carter knows about it and is working on a solution), I will likely be back more consistently for a while to look for and help with problems with those "old-school" markers like the SMG-60 / 68, 68-Special and the SL-68. I hope to see my gold status returned soon ... but I know I can't hold my breath long enough for soon to come.
