Me and my other friends managed to put a tower up in a set of trees.  Its up about 13 feet and has walls and everything... we didn't even use nails.  We tied it up.  Were setting up a village for a scenario in the woods.  It's going to be sweet.
Because I can.

Buddy. I am a current Boy Scout, Knots dont mean crap.

If you wanted to hoist up an 800 lb log, Your perfect timber hitch is worth nothing if you are using yarn.

Rope stretches, snaps, breaks, unwind, weakens.  Not a good idea.

I'm with Darur. As a Scout myself, I have to wonder why you're EX-Scouts.

And just because it held the first time doesn't mean it'll hold.. oh, say after it rains? In any case, it can't hurt to reinforce it.
Is God real? You'll find out when you die.

Okay, I don't have a clever signature zinger. So sue me.

trees swell after it rains slightly (you'd know that if you were let's say a real OUTDOORSMAN?).  it's reinforced with 300 lb test paracord.
