Ok I have heard mixed ideas on this.  The main thing I hear is you should be able to blow a ball threw your barrel but it shouldn't roll threw or get stuck either.  Then I also hear other people say as long as the ball will roll threw the barrell and not get stuck that it will shoot just as good as if it were matched in the way I stated above.  What are all of your opinions on this?

When you get a barrel, you need to look at the bore size. On the lapco Bigshot (just an example) the bore size is .689 That being said I would get a medium to large bore paint. This size can be found on the back of the paint case you are buying. It is true that the paintball should not get stuck in your barrel. Though I have never heard of this blowing through the barrel thing. It may not be a good indicator due to the fact that the pressure your lungs can put out is far less that that of the aactual marker.

The blow with your lungs thing is just to make sure that it will go threw and not get stuck, I understand what its for and it does make since but some people have said that as long as the paint is smaller than the bore than it doesn't matter at all, so I'm just trying to get a range of opinions and see what seems most prevalent. Thanx for your reply.

Well if the paint is a lot smaller than the bore your will get gas escaping from around the edges of the ball and your velocity will go down !!!

If the ball will not blow through at all, get really acquainted with your squeegie.

Hybrid is actually right....remember, we all have experienced barrel breaks regardless what size and brand of the balls are used.

Were not discussing any issue of how clean it is... But since yall must the barrel is as clean as hot water and soap and a squeegie can get it, before I test the ball size.
