I have a A-5 with a R/T and a Flatline for woods-ball. i was thinking about gettin a Freak Barrel for speedball but i wasent sure on what size to get. and if its worth it. but if i decide to get one i was wondering what size is good, a 12, 14, 16, 18 inch? and sorry for this newbie question but does size really matter?
I would appreciate some opinions and experiences. Thanks Edited by GoTsKiLLz |

Yea, anything over 14" is a waste. I personally like the 12". I'd go for the 12" or 14".

yeah over 16 is where the problems start (ball drop off, etc.) but i never go over 14 because it gives u a lil room to spare there...also if u look at the pros setups' most of them use 14 inchers...some front players use 12s and even 10s occasionally but u hardly ever see anybody (even backmen like me) with 16 inchers on theyre guns. and yeah i think the freak is worth it...i have owned a teardrop and an all american and ahve been very impressed with smart parts barrels...if ur gonna spend alot of money on a barrel then u could also look into the evil pipe kits...i was gonna get a freak for my timmy but decided that since the only 2 aftermarket barrels i had ever bought had been smartparts that i wanted to get some more experience with other companies and stuff and went with the pipe. its a nice barrel but its sorta loud but on the speedball field it doesnt really matter because if ur doin it right u should be yellin to ur teammates the whole time shoutin out positions of the other team and just communicatin in general |

Don;t go over 14. I have a 14 and wish I had gotten a 12. It just seems a tad too long.

you will see the same or very little accuracy difference between a 10,
12, or 14 inch barrel of the same barrel. which means if you had a 10,
12 and 14 inch freak, you wont see that much of a diference between
them as far as accuracy. i would go for a 12 inch freak, its more
compact and shorter than a 14 and a little longer than a 10. over 14
inches will result in ball drop off and a decrease in accuracy.
